Here at CWBM, we are total suckers for bright, bold, colorful florals so being a part of Kayla & Amanda’s big day was an absolute treat for us. The carefully though out details combined with a fun color palette and some of the top Cincinnati wedding vendors made for one of our very favorite weddings to date.
I (Maura) met Kayla many years ago so being able to share in hers and Amanda’s big day was extra special for me. Kayla and I met while I working as a venue coordinator and Kayla was assisting a wedding planner on a big wedding. Kayla and I spent the wedding day together hanging out (to be exact, we were working our booties off, not exactly “hanging out” ;). Fast forward about 3 years, right after I launched CWBM. I was working my very first CWBM wedding at the venue where Kayla was the venue coordinator! We instantly recognized one another and had a blast working yet again another wedding together. Since then, Kayla and I have remained friends. When Kayla got engaged to Amanda, I knew that it was going to be a spectacular affair so when she and Amanda asked me to be their “day of” coordinator, I was thrilled to see all of the hard work I had heard about all year come together for the perfect day for her and Amanda. It was so wonderful to be able to get to know Amanda and see the beautiful relationship that they have established.
By looking at the photos, you would never believe that 4.29.17 started out in a torrential downpour. I could barely drive to the venue that morning because the roads were so bad. With the entire wedding being planned for outdoors, I figured Amanda and Kayla would be freaking out when I saw them. I couldn’t have been more wrong – they were cool as cucumbers. Somehow they just knew the skies would open up and everything would work out as planned (which it did!).
How about these bouquets by Marti Heard Designs??
We also loved this custom pocket square that Marti created on the fly for Amanda’s brother ..
One of our favorite parts of this wedding was the champagne tower. Kayla and Amanda popped the bottle right after they were introduced and then shared a toast together as newlyweds.. it was such a fun way to start the evening!
Kayla & Amanda, thank you for allowing us to be part of this exciting chapter in your lives!
